The town of Tkon is located on Pašman, a small island in the heart of the Adriatic that has preserved the tradition and charm of a small Dalmatian island. It is only 2–5 km away from the mainland. It is connected to the island of Ugljan by a bridge and to the mainland by ferry lines Biograd–Tkon and Preko–Zadar. From the shore there is an unforgettable view of numerous islands (Kornati) and islets (Galešnjak – the island of love) of the Zadar archipelago that reveal the secrets of untouched nature. The attractiveness of Tkon lies in natural resources (unspoiled nature, clear sea, interesting underwater world, sandy beaches and indented coast) and rich history. It is famous for škraping, international trekking and trail race on sharp island rocks, which is traditionally held every year in March and is considered a type of extreme sport. Sports and recreation enthusiasts can also enjoy cycling, sailing, diving, running, windsurfing and many other activities.
Tkon is also near the cities of Biograd, Zadar, Šibenik and Split, the national parks Plitvička jezera, Paklenica, Krka, Kornati, the nature park Vransko jezero, the main road A1 ZG–DU and the Zadar (30 km) and Split (80 km) airports. During your stay you can explore the surrounding areas and use the villa as a base for exploring the island and the mainland on foot, by bike, by car or by boat.
